Jacksonville, FL: Willis Page passed away January 9, 2013. He was born September 18, 1918 to Thomas and Rachel Page in Rochester, NY.
Willis graduated from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester. Maestro Page was a former conductor of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, as well as several other internationally renowned orchestras, including the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo, (first conductor), the Boston Pops, the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Nashville Symphony and orchestras in Des Moines, Israel, Toronto and many others.
He is predeceased by three sisters Jennie, Florida and Atlanta and a brother Thomas. He is survived by the children of his first wife, Jean: his son Dr. Stephen Page and his daughter Sylvia Page Nicol, three grandchildren Amy, Henry and Oliver, and his beloved companion of many years, Dorothy Norman, as well as many other friends and relatives.
A memorial service was held 11am Saturday, January 12 at San Jose Church of Christ, 6233 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL.
