Earls, John Howard

Pittsford: June 13, 1932 - March 18, 2014. A lifelong Pittsford resident, John passed away at the age of 81. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. John was predeceased by his wife, Joan and two sons, Daniel and John Jr., and his parents Howard and Irene Earls. He is survived by his children Debra Savard (Don), Pamela Liseno (Tony), Penelope Clarke (Peter), Jaclynn Zampino (Phil) and Dorothy Genazzio (Adam); 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, cousins, and in-laws.

John was the Superintendent for the Department of Public Works for the Village of Pittsford, where he was employed for 25 years. Prior to that, he worked for the Town of Pittsford alongside his father, Howard. In 1988 he started his own business, Earls Electric. John was a proud member and Past Chief with the Pittsford Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years, he was also a member of the 3rd Battalion Past Chiefs Assoc. and East Rochester Fire Exempts. He also belonged to Masonic Lodge #426. He had a passion for snowmobiling, traveling and camping; he also participated in civil war reenactments and had amassed an extensive tool collection. John will be greatly missed by all.

Friends may call on Sunday, March 23rd from 2-6 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Funeral Service will be on Monday, March 24th at 10 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, S. Main St. Pittsford. Internment immediately following at Pittsford Cemetery. Friends are invited to gather at Pittsford Fire Station #2, 465 Pittsford-Mendon Rd. Pittsford at following the burial.
