George E. "Sandy"

Conway, SC: Mr. George E. "Sandy" Schnellman, 64 of Conway SC. died on Saturday in the Conway Medical Center following a brief illness. He was the husband of Theresa (Smith) Schnellman with whom he shared more than 11 years of marriage.

Born in Buffalo NY, son of the late George and Mary Ellen (Smith) Schnellmann, he worked as the Chief Financial Officer of 4Cable TV. Prior to this he was a systems analyst with the Xerox Corp. Earlier he was a Systems Analyst for the City of Rochester NY. He is the founder of Vector Systems, created to pursue business and IT consulting with a variety of clients including Xerox. Vector Systems developed a medical malpractice management system and is used in more than 200 offices. He was also an instructor at Rochester Institute of Administration. Mr. Schnellman earned a Masters Degree from Binghampton University in 1972. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, sailing, building boats and as a drummer, became a faithful follower of the Grateful Dead and was proud to be called a "Dead Head"

In addition to his wife he leaves a daughter Jennifer Gibson of Conway, a brother Jeffrey (Maureen) Scnellmann of FL. and a sister Maureen (Karen)Schnellmann of ME. He will be sadly missed by his beloved dogs "Daniel and Hershey" and his grand-dog "Pickles".

Funeral services will be held in the Conway chapel of the Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway SC. on Wednesday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family prior to services from 10 AM. Memorial donations in Sandy's Name may be sent to the Horry County Animal Shelter, 1923 Industrial Park, Conway SC. 29526.
