Finn, Roy C. (Swingle)

Greece: Born December 24, 1915 passed away May 26, 2014 at age 98. Predeceased by his wife, Lois and grandsons, Jack and Jeff. Survived by his son, Don (Barb) and daughters, Patti (Larry) Bandolin and Peg (Sandy) Swingle. Also survived by grandchildren, Sue (Paul) Shays, Bonnie Bandolin, Kari (Joe Zorn) Finn, Sandy (Mark) Makara and Paul (Jackie) Finn; plus several great- and great-great grandchildren and longtime special fiends, Bev Allardice and Alice Sullivan.

Roy was a gentleman and a gentle man who lived a life of honesty, integrity, and strong moral character. He was a little man with a great big heart. He was born in Canada, grew up in Saranac Lake, and settled in Rochester in the 1940's. During WWII he served in the U.S. Army in Europe. He worked at Rochester Products as a tool and die maker and in 1976 retired as General Foreman of the Tool and Die Department. He was an avid golfer and a talented stained glass and woodworking craftsman. Please light a candle in Roy's honor and his light will continue to shine in the lives of all who knew him. Special thanks to the staffs at the Landing and Beikirch Care Center in Brockport who always treated Roy with care and respect.

Friends may call Saturday 10:30 AM -12:30 PM followed by his Funeral Service at 12:30 at the funeral home, 777 Long Pond Road (between English & Latta). Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Good Days and Special Times, 1332 Pittsford-Mendon Road, Mendon, NY 14506.
