Irondequoit: On June 27, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Helene; his children, John (Christine) and Curtis (Elizabeth); a grandchild, Nicole (Dan) Coons; his siblings, Marguerite Ochs, Anna Pifer, Howard (Janet) Donalies, Mildred Tagg and Grace (Mel) Yawny. He was predeceased by his parents, Max and Alice Donalies, and siblings, William Donalies, Marie Steighner, Ruth Gazzam, LaVerne Sorochman and Virginia Cantella.

Dan was a research physicist at Haloid-Xerox and held many patents. Dan was also the founder of Dan's Crafts & Things in 1974, which is still a family business run by his sons.

Friends may call on MONDAY, June 30, 2014, from 4-7PM at Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home, 1717 Portland Avenue (corner of Ridge Rd. East). Dan's Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 9:30AM at St. Cecilia's Church. Interment private at Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Cecilia's Church, The or the Irondequoit Ambulance. Arrangements entrusted to Rochester Memorial Chapel, 288-1250.
