Chapman, Alan C. "Big Al"

Greece: Thursday, July 10, 2014, at age 83. Predeceased by first wife, Nancy; sister, Helen; brothers, Roger & Richard. Survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Judith; children, Lori (Jeff) Thompson, Thomas (Susan) Chapman, Mark Chapman; 6 stepchildren, Robert (Kris) Coffey, Deborah (Joseph) Zazzana, David (Becky) Coffey, Arlene (Mark) O'Brien, Sharon Liberatore, Barbara Casinelli; 5 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; many great & step-great grandchildren; nieces & nephews, including his special nephew, Danny Hill. Alan served with the Navy Seabees during the Korean War. He was a retired Baptist minister, retired dairy farmer, and had retired from Gleason Works, Fairport Baptist Home & F.F. Thompson Hospital. In the last years he did "God's work" as an HHA, running a 24/7 Family Care Home for the NYS Office of Mental Health with his wife Judith, aka "Little Babe" in Yates County, with as many as 4 patients. Alan loved all animals, especially his pygmy goats, "Peaches" the mule and his Great Dane, "Cisco" who awaits him in Heaven. The family wishes to thank his doctor and all of the staff at Rochester General Hospital, CTICU, for their loving care for the last 5 months.
