Ontario, NY/Pompano Beach & Long Key, Florida: On July 20, 2014 at the age of 99. Wilson was born to Arthur and Jennie Johncox on July 1, 1915 in Lincoln, NY. He was predeceased by his first wife Eleanor Johncox and his second wife Miriam Johncox, daughter Karen Deshaies, grandson Christopher Johncox and stepdaughter Polly Daly. He is survived by his son Mark (Betty) Johncox; daughter Joanne Johncox Mortimer; stepsons Mike (Mary) Daly, Pete (Sandy) Daly; 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, Helen Wiley and many friends.

Wilson was born and raised on a farm in the hamlet of Lincoln, NY. The trucking industry was his career path and Wilson went on to own, and operate, two trucking companies. Over the years he received recognition for his entrepreneurship. In later years, he went into real estate where he obtained his realtors license, owned his own agency and was a member of the real estate appraisers. He grew to be well respected in the industry and loved by his clients. Wilson was a member of the Ontario Masonic Lodge and had been the eldest living member. His civic affiliations include the Ontario Rotary Club where he had served as President, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, the Ontario Historical Society and the Rochester Ad Club. Wilson also served on the Wayne Central School District Board of Education and the Myers Community Hospital (Sodus, NY) Board of Directors. In Long Key, Florida, Wilson served on the Outdoor Resorts of America Board of Directors. While living in Florida he was an avid fisherman and proudly served in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. Wilson also took an interest in politics. He became involved with politics in both NY and Florida. While living at the John Knox retirement community in Florida, he served as a political liaison where he would interact with both local politicians all the way up to Presidential candidates. Wilson was a talented orator and had traveled extensively. He was known and will be remembered for his philanthropy, enthusiasm, optimism, interest in the well being of his family and most of all for his charming and social nature. Wilson will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY from 4 to 7 PM. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11 AM at the Furnaceville Cemetery, Trimble Road, Ontario, NY 14519. Condolences may be left at
