Holmes, Roy N.
Greece: Known for raising bears at Bear Cave in Buchanan, MI and was a retired Assistant Vice President of Eastman Kodak, Roy Noble Holmes (May 7, 1936) passed away of natural causes late on Saturday August 17th. He is survived by his wife Patricia D. Holmes. Their 57th anniversary would have been Sunday August 24th. He is also survived by his daughter, Christine Winslow and 2 sons, Paul Holmes (Margaret Jennings) and Tom Holmes. He also has 2 grandsons and 1 greatgranddaughter. He is a graduate of Harvard University and the Wharton School of Business. He was a member of Ridgemont Country Club for several years, he served on the board of Rochester General Hospital, was a generous philanthropist, and a music enthusiast. He will be missed by his family, friends, and the community.
There will be a service at Aldersgate United Methodist Church at 4115 Dewey Ave. (Greece) on Saturday August 23rd at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
