Bobbi and Joe,
It seems like yesterday that we met you with Jack at Emory, both Shubhranshu and Jack were to be roommates, and you had driven down to help Jack set up his room.
They remained room mates for almost entire 4 years till both of them graduated... and we met again.. at the graduation
Jack was in India and stayed with us for a few days.. such a sweet boy.. a wonderful soul.. always smiling..
We are heartbroken at this sudden twist of fate.. he was a star in the making..
May God give you strength to bear these difficult times....

I took Chinese 101 class with him when I was a freshman. I still remember that he wanted to major in linguistics and then changed his major to business. I passed him several times in bschool but never really had a chance to say hi. Rest in Peace...

My daughter Georgia had recently met Jack as they began their careers at Centerview. Although they didn't know each other well, they were becoming fast friends. Georgia told me your son was smart and sweet and engaging and well liked by his peers. I am so very sorry for this unimaginable loss.

Bobbi and Joe,
I have so many memories of Jack being kind, smart and sweet. I think of him tutoring Liz in Physics, and insisting that she understood it, but just needed confidence. As I read tributes to him, that trend of being a good teacher and helper surfaces again and again.
Jack was incredibly smart, and motivated but down to earth and humble. He cared about others and was such a good friend. I will never be able to look at crème Brule or a kitchen torch without thinking of your sweet son.
He clearly has made his mark on this earth .I am very sad that his life was cut short way too soon, but I am honored that I had the privilege of knowing him and will treasure his memory.
I hope and pray that with time, your memories can soften the pain that must be unbearable right now.

There are no words that can fill the void you are feeling right now. This is surely the toughest moment or your life. Your parenting of such a fine young man is truly a tribute. I am so very sorry for your loss. I only met Jack a few months ago, but it didn't take long to recognize just how much good was inside of him. I've never met someone who cares so ferociously for those around him. When I met him, I saw him spend an entire night without sleep just to take care of a friend who was having a rough time. After that night, I knew he was one of the good guys. I know this loving and caring spirit will live on in all of those who had the privilege to know him.

I just heard about this today and my heart breaks for you and Joe. One can never imagine the pain of a parent that has to bury their child. It's so very very sad. I know there's nothing that will ease your pain, but hold strong to the belief, he's in a better world now, and can hear you talking to him always. He will live on in your hearts forever, no one can ever take that away. Prayers to all of you and the people who came to know and love Jack well.
