Boston: On 05/08/09 at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Burn Unit at age 34 of Northampton, MA. Formerly of Fairport.
Predeceased by her father, Marshall Manasco; grandparents, Marjorie and Vernon Kelly; aunt, Janet Diebold (Truesdale). Survived by her spouse, Lesli Hudson; mother, Donna Kelly (Manasco) and sister, Karen Kelly (Manasco) of Andover, MA. and countless friends she touched.
She attended Alfred State, MCC,
Marshall University and Smith College. Sue worked in Hollywood and on Broadway. She was a master potter, artist and taught college level. During her lengthy illness, Susan continued caring for the homeless in her community. She had a gentle presence and patience. She found fun in things, laughed and made others smile. She thought of others first before considering her own needs. She was taught to live each day as a special gift, she did that well. She knew the true rewards in life were by doing and sharing with others. In that respect, we all were truly blessed. Susan was enthusiastic, passionate about politics. Among her proud achievements were receiving a U.S. Congressional Award, being a
Senior Lifeguard, a Counselor at Pinewood Girl Scout Camp (Smiley), a SE/YMCA Youth Leader, and active Asbury First Youth Service. She excelled in many diverse sports. In music, she played the violin at Eastman's, drums and guitar. Although a World traveler, the love of her summer home, Canandaigua Lake, kept her returning.
A Funeral was held to celebrate Susan's life in Northampton in May. Burial was held at the convenience of her family at White Haven Memorial Park. Donations may be made in Susan's memory to Kessler Family Burns Trauma ICU, University of Rochester Medical Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Box 610-328, Rochester, NY 14642.
