Rochester: November 24, 2012, died peacefully at home at the age of 99. Predeceased by her husband, Leon. Survived by her sons, James Hurysz (Helena Zinkham) and Michael Hurysz; daughter, Barbara; granddaughter, Heather; brother-in-law, Florian (Connie) Hurysz, many nieces, nephews; grand and great-grandnieces and nephews. Elizabeth lived a full and active life, and all who knew her admired her energy and keen mind. She was a creative person and made lovely stained glass and ceramic artwork. She was also a talented seamstress and floral designer. Elizabeth loved to write and was a member of the City of Rochester's Creative Writing Program. She was a wonderful story teller and was gifted at recreating the mood of her time. She was the voice of her family's history, which came alive with her vivid and detailed family stories and personal reminiscences that spanned almost a century. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a talented, generous woman who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Honoring Elizabeth's request, there will be no prior calling hours and Interment will be private. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, December 1st 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Church in Rochester. In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute to a
