Rochester: November 30, 2012 at age 97. Predeceased by her husband of almost 72 years, M. Sherman Cotton. Survived by loving her daughters and sons-in-law Sonja (Jack) Lightbody & Kay Cotton (George Pringle). "Grandma Bunny" is also survived by her grandchildren Leslie Lightbody, Ken (Beth) Lightbody, Julie (Shawn) Downey; great-grandchildren Sawyer, Max and Tyler Downey, Joey and Alena Lightbody; and extended family including the Ritchies, Pringles and many nephews, nieces and dear friends.
Esther, shown in this recent photo, was a gentle but spunky woman who charmed people with her beautiful smile and infectious giggle. She was known for her orchid outfits, enjoyment of exercise, enduring faith & love of card playing. For the past 57 years she celebrated her June 7th birthday with a swim in Canandaigua Lake. She was valedictorian of Victor High Class of 1932 and attended University of Rochester. She was a member of Victor United Methodist Church for 87 years and a past matron of the Eastern Star. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
