Rochester, NY: Born Nov. 8, 1937 to James and Edna Owens in Mullins, SC. She was welcomed home by our Savior and entered gracefully into eternal rest on Dec. 19, 2012 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Predeceased by her husband, parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and great-grandson. Survived by daughters Brenda and Shirley "Darlene" Gerald; brothers Esau and Jacob (Patricia) Owens; sister-in-law Ruth Owens; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kathleen Donahue & staff of Unity Health System; Dr. Frederick Marshall and Susan Ruhlan from Memory Care; Hurlbut Nursing Home; Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center & staff; and the Alzheimer's Association for their diligence, compassion, and support.

Calling hours Wed. 6-9pm at Angel Hills Funeral Chapel. Funeral service Thurs. at 11am at the House of God, 654 Goodman St., with Pastor Nikita Collier of Divine Tabernacle of Faith officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
