Fox, Francis E.

Livonia: January 19, 2013. Predeceased by his wife, Marie Moroney Fox; parents, Francis Emmett Fox Sr, Genevieve; brothers-in-law, John (Jack) Moroney, William J. Moroney & Clark V. Whited; sister-in-law, Mary Jean Moroney. A graduate of Aquinas High School, Rochester, and the University of Rochester with a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, he worked at Eastman Kodak for 35 years as a Superintendent of Chemical division and created six patents for Kodak.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed on the USS Alabama (1942-1945). His many interests were centered around his family and included sailing, swimming & travel. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Cathedral for 35 years. At St. Matthew's Church in Livonia, he was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and since 1962, a longtime resident of Conesus Lake.

He is survived by sons, Neil (Eileen) of Dallas, TX, William (Deborah) of Pace, FL, Gregory (Janice) of Greenville, SC, Emmett and John (Anna) of Rochester; daughters, Mary (Peter) Langworthy of Rochester & Theresa (Mark) Lehman, Brockport; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Frances Moroney Whited of Brockport & Josephine B. Moroney of MA; many nieces, nephews, cousins & close friends.

Family & friends may call on January 23rd from 4-7 PM at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Rd. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park, on January 24th at 10:30 AM. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave., Rochester. In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to the YMCA, 25 Driving Park Ave., Rochester, NY 14613, or Aquinas General Scholarship Fund, 1127 Dewey Ave., Rochester, NY 14613.
