"Jerry" Haag

Vero Beach, FL: Passed away on January 19, 2013, peacefully in her home with family. Geraldine was born to Benjamin and Emily Haag in Rochester, NY, on June 1, 1925. Jerry graduated from Irondequoit High School in Rochester, NY in 1942, and then pursued a career in nursing. She graduated from Genesee Hospital School of Nursing, in Rochester, NY. Jerry worked in nursing for 20 years.

She has lived part time in the Vero Beach area since 1981, and has been a full time resident of Vero Beach for the last twenty years. Her hobbies include Duplicate Bridge (Silver Life Master), swimming, knitting, sewing, reading, crossword puzzles and singing (Choir Director and Church Soloist for various Presbyterian Churches).

Jerry leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Robert Longbine of Vero Beach; 4 daughters Linda Ownbey (Larry) of Seneca, SC, Laurie Puccini (Robert) of Savannah, GA, Karen Jordan (Stephen) of Johns Creek, GA, Ellen Waugh (Steven) of Easton, CT, 7 grandchildren Melissa Pearson (James) Candler, NC, Robert Puccini (Margaret) of Savannah, GA, Jamie Rexroat (James) Pooler, GA, Kelly Jarrell (Travis) of Cornelia, GA, Kevin Jordan of Atlanta, GA, Katherine and Michael Waugh of Easton, CT; 6 great-grandchildren Courtney Pearson, Lauren Puccini, Kate Puccini, Anna Puccini, Taylor Rexroat, and Robert Rexroat.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach, FL. A guest book for online condolences is available at A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in Jerry's name to Vero Beach Bridge Center, 1520 14th Avenue Vero Beach, FL 32960.
