Gertrude Gill Obituary
Fairport: Passed peacefully on April 27, 2014 at the age of 104 with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband William and sons Donald & Robert. Survived by son Walter (Bonnie), daughters in law Nancy Gill, Karen Gill (Jeanie), grandchildren Sharon (Bob) Cerame, Wayne Gill, Scott Gill (Diane), Traci Gill (Brenda), Douglas Gill (Shawn), Tamie Stocku (Mark), Kellie La Bar (Larry) and great-grandchildren, Colby, Parker (Julia), Rob (Jill), Mark, Sydney, McKenzie and Shayna.
Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thur. (May 1st) at the White Haven Memorial Park Creation Chapel located at 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford, NY. Memorials may be made to Lollypop Farm Humane Society, Fairport, NY 14450. Arrangements entrusted to Troiano Funeral Home, visit

Walt And Family~ So sorry for your loss of your mom. I will always remember her from cleaning her apartment at parkwood . She was a very special and dear friend to me When i needed her . I will truly miss her.

So sorry for your loss. I spent a bit of time with Mrs. Gill when she resided at Parkwood. I found her to be one of the most honest, genuine, and kind women that I have had the pleasure of meeting. I still think about her and the conversations that she and I had -- I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to get to know her. Your family is in my thoughts.

Mrs. Gill was a milestone in the neighborhood of Meadow Wood Drive, Fairport. She was always a gentle lady, always willing to help a neighbor, and respected by all of us.

Doug and Shawn,
We never got to meet her, but you talked about her so much we felt as if we had. What an amazing life she lived, full of family and love. Although we cannot make it to her service, you know we are with you in spirit. Blessings on you and all her family and friends whom she touched so deeply during her life.

Oh Doug, I am so sorry. Please know that with what seems like so much death around you recently, there is also much life and many people who love you and support you and are here for you. I am sorry I did not get to know your grandmother but if you are in any way a reflection of her than I am sure she must have been an amazing person!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family at this time!
