Hi. I was David's advisor at Alfred University. So sad to find out about his early passing. He was a good student, but more importantly a good person, and I was happy to have known him and worked with him. I left the profession and lost touch with nearly everyone; wish I would have found him sooner.

We will all miss you very much, Dave. Thank you for everything you have done for my family. We will miss the great conversations, the frequent IMAX trips, and that smile that could light up a room. You were a wonderful soul. Love, Aimee and Nick

To Dave's family and friends. I am very sorry for your loss. Dave was a rare sort, a genuinely decent human being in the best sense. Those who knew him here from his time at Upton Tea Imports felt he was a really great guy. He is remembered very fondly.

I was so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I will always remember him as a kind and considerate husband to my niece Patty. She told me she was so happy when she met and married him.

Dave was a gentle soul and I know he made a difference to those he chose to get to know, and he had a great work ethic and attention to detail. He enjoyed nature, and loved animals. I know he had a special fondness for Hawaii also. I am glad his suffering from his illness is over. God bless him and all the family and friends who knew him. Sincerely, Laura
