Paul Mance Obituary
Hilton: Suddenly, June 25, 2015, on his 49th wedding anniversary. Survived by his devoted wife, Mary Ann; his 8 children, William (Kim) Mance, Mary Catherine (Ron) Bourret, John Mance, Elizabeth (Shawn) McCullough, Ruth and Frances Mance, Sarah (Marc) Ferger, and Rachel (Gregory) Bartnett; grandchildren, William, Francesca, Victoria, Kristina, Angela, Timothy, Dianna, Aesling, Shannon, Tiernan, Declan, Marc Jr., and a soon-to-be grandson & granddaughter; his brother, Daniel Mance. He is also predeceased by his brothers, James & Thomas Mance. Paul was a member of St. Leo K of C, the Rosarians, and Secular Franciscans.
Friends are invited to call MON., 4-8 PM at the THOMAS E. BURGER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 735 East Ave., Hilton. Funeral Mass, TUES. at 10 AM at St. Leo the Great Church, Hilton, followed by Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute to Birthright of Rochester, Food for the Poor, or EWTN (Catholic TV) in Paul's memory. Envelopes for all will be available at calling hours.

Paul was invaluable to me when I returned to the Catholic faith after a 20 year absence. I needed someone to bring me up to date and remind me of things I'd forgotten, and I never met a lay person who knew the faith better than Paul. He was very kind to me when my father died, for which I will always be grateful. Paul's monument is the grotto at St Leo's in Hilton NY. When he first proposed his renovation plan, I thought he had no chance of raising the necessary funds. I was never happier to be wrong - he pulled it off.
God bless and console Mary Ann, Ruth, Chuck, and the rest of Paul's family.

Paul was a very nice man. We started in real estate at the same time at Coldwell Banker and in the training academy we would act like high school kids and get yelled at by the teacher. Very nice guy though that loved his family. My thoughts and prayers to Paul and his family...

My deepest condolences to all the Mance family. Paul's generous spirit, his willingness to share his wisdom, guiding myself and my Salt of the Earth brothers by his witness of faith, reason, and integrity 25 years ago, is one small part of the rich legacy he leaves behind. Trusting in Divine Mercy, I am confident in the hope that while his work here is finished, his ceaseless intercession for us all is just beginning.
