Alfred Hanggi Obituary
Jennings
Rochester: 91, passed Tuesday October 10, 2017 in the comfort of his home in Rochester, NY. He was born in Portola, CA and raised on a farm in Naples NY. In 1949 he married Kathleen Sable. They had 5 children together and were married until Kathleen passed in 1989. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen and 3 sons, Steven, Michael and Scott. He is survived by his siblings, Marian (Hanggi) Clark, Evelyn (Hanggi) Seeger and John Bruce Hanggi; his children, James Hanggi (Sherri) and Linda (Hanggi) Hawkins; daughters-in-law, Karen Davis, Sheila Blair and Judith Hanggi; his grandchildren, Daniel Hanggi (Jessica), Kristina (Hanggi) LaBarbera (Marcus), Jodie (Hanggi) Ross, Robyn MacChlerie, Theresa (Hanggi) Croteau (Joseph), Kelley (Hanggi) Blair, James MacChlerie and Michael Alfred Joseph Hanggi; and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. In more recent years he was involved in the Irondequoit Bay Fish & Game Club and a Director with the Empire State Arms Collectors Association. Besides the love of his family and friends he had many interests including fishing, bowling photography, golfing and volleyball. He enjoyed traveling and went to Hawaii with his wife, Africa with his son and Alaska and Honor Flight with his daughter. He was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan and was a season ticket holder for over 30 years. He will be missed.
Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Veterans Outreach Center, 447 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620.

Sorry to here of Al's passing. Didn't get to know him well living down in Naples, but whenever I saw Alfred he always had the biggest smile on his face to share...David Hanggi " GODSPEED "

Sorry to learn of Al's passing. He always went out of his way to greet you when he saw you. Al was a lot of to bowl with. He shall be missed.
