Wilbert Robert Borth
Wilbert Robert "Nickie" Borth was born in Krum, Texas on February 23, 1926 and died surrounded by family on February 23, 2017, his 91st birthday. He was the fourth son out of 6 boys born to Herman Henry Borth and Annie Katherine Ford Borth. Most people never knew his real name. He wasn't too fond of the name and he used his nickname "Nickie" his entire life. Nickie married Peggy Ruth Watson on December 11, 1953 and she preceded him in death in 1988.
He is survived by his children, Donna Borth Stewart and husband Don of Krum, Rick Borth of Denton, James Borth of Krum and Linda Case of Irving. Nickie has 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Nicki Jean Jacobs, and 5 brothers, Roland, Charlie, Aaron, Myron and Jerome Borth. Nickie served in the US Army during World War II from 1944 to 1946 as a Staff Sergeant and was stationed in the Philippines and Japan.
He worked for Ford Motor Company in Dallas for 20 years until the assembly plant closed in 1970. He only believed in and drove Ford vehicles from that point forward. He was self titled "the best damn hood fitter there ever was"Â?Â? and it took two people to replace him. He then was an independent salesman for Snap-on-Tools from 1971 to 1992. You never saw Nickie without wearing one of his Snap-on-Tool hats.
Nickie's entire life was also spent farming the family land. He loved every minute of his farming life and he always took great care of his cows and land. He worked on the farm until his death.

I am so sorry to hear the passing of your dad, also that I was unable to make the funeral. Please know you are all in my heart and prayers. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

Sending prayers to Nickie's family. Nickie was my Snap On man. He would come to me so I would buy tools for my husband knowing I would spend more money. He also used one of his pliers off his truck to pull my sons tooth. Nickie you will be missed. RIP

I only met "Uncle" Nickie a couple of times, but my best friend James has always spoken so well of his uncles. Nickie, Myron and Charlie were great men and will be deeply missed by loved ones. Comfort and joy knowing they are now in Heaven together signing a new song with a string accompaniment eternally praising their Lord awaiting a reunion with all of us. May God continue to richly bless the Borth family and friends.

Nickie was a friend to all me met. He loved and cared for his family. My daughters told me many stories of their love for their granddad.. He blessed their lives richly. I will always be grateful for him.
