Hazel Swindle Obituary

Hazel Swindle

Hazel Swindle of Sanger went to her heavenly home on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the age of 89. The daughter of Edwin Krueger and Julia (Cheatman) Krueger, she was born on January 23, 1928 in Sagarton, Texas.

On February 5, 1944, she married John Ellsworth Swindle in Pottsboro, Texas. Hazel worked inside her home and raised their two sons. She enjoyed playing the piano and gardening but her greatest pleasure was time spent with her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John. Those who will cherish her memory are her sons, Kenneth Swindle and wife Molly of Sanger and John Swindle of Alvarado; two grandsons Ryan Swindle and wife Amber, Brendan Swindle and wife Courtney, and Grand-daughter Caitlin Martin and husband Alec; and six great-grandchildren Caedmon Swindle, Ryse Swindle, Pearl Swindle, Ethan Swindle, Alli Swindle, and Dean Martin.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Coker Funeral Home, 403 Pecan Street, Sanger, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 708 S. 5th Street, Sanger, Texas with Jerry Brewster officiating. He will be assisted by John Guerra.
