Dr. Dale J. Lundeen, former university professor and administrator, died Sat Apr 13 at 90, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Chicago to Dr. Lars and Hilda (Johnson) Lundeen and moved to Kalamazoo, MI, where he graduated from Western Michigan University. Dale served as a civil engineer with the Army Corp of Engineers in Europe during WWII
. After the war, he earned degrees in Speech Pathology from Indiana U. (MA) where he found his bride (Virginia Dixon) and University of Minnesota
(PhD). Dale taught at the University of Minnesota and Northern Michigan University, Marquette, MI, before moving to Greeley, CO, and starting the speech-language pathology program at the University of Northern Colorado. He is preceded by his wife and his sisters Phyllis Lundeen and Irma Fetherolf. He is survived by three daughters, Jill McNellis (Patrick), Littleton, Susan St. Pierre (Randy), Centennial, and Jan Lundeen, Centennial; and four grandchildren, Ryan (Hanni) and Beth McNellis, Tyler and Connor St. Pierre. We are greatly appreciative to the wonderful loving staff at Gardens at Columbine where Dale lived. Services will be held 2:30 pm, Sunday, April 28 at Cherry Hills Comm. Church chapel, 3900 Grace Blvd, Highlands Ranch.
