Jean Freeman(1926 - 2013)

Jean Freeman, 86, passed away in her Denver home with family by her side. She was preceded in death by Dr. Robert Freeman, her husband of 65 years. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Anne Lider (OR), Susan Poremba (CO), and Cathy Stallings (Uruguay), 9 grandchildren and a great grandson. Raised in Evanston, Illinois, she attended University of Colorado and Northwestern University. She was a fashion model, a homemaker and a volunteer. She and Bob raised their daughters in Denver, enjoying the mountains and traveling frequently as a family. Jean was a beautiful woman inside and out, whose life enriched and impacted many others. One of her favorite quotes was from Mother Teresa, who said, "We cannot do great things, only small things with great love." Jean lived this out daily, generously giving kind words and thoughtful deeds not only to her family and friends, but also to the waitress, store clerk and handyman. She will be remembered as a loving wife, giving mother, fun grandmother, true friend and an inspiration to many. Her memorial service will be May 18 at 2pm, St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1270 Poplar.
