Lindy Evans(1949 - 2012)

Lindy passed from this world on Monday, November 12th, with the same grace that she showed as she moved through life. Lindy's faith guided her, consoled and inspired her. Her love and compassion for children and animals guided her path. Born and raised in Texas, Lindy attended Bellaire High school, University of Houston and University of Texas at Arlington where she received her degree. She moved as an adult to the mountains of southern Montana, and the Rockies of Colorado. She loved the mountains, the forests, and the wonders that nature placed before her. Self-reliant and independent, Lindy made her way through the challenges that life can bring, always learning and growing. She spent her spare time reading, knitting, or going on walks. Her profession of teaching those children with very special needs brought her great joy and satisfaction. She talked endlessly of her students, of how proud she was of them all, of their antics, challenges and achievements. Her three step-sons she loved deeply and was so proud of each of them. She showed her boys how to grow with kindness, love and compassion. Lindy almost always lived with dogs, birds or cats that she loved. Devotion to her church and her daily time of prayer brought a deep faith to the center of her life. Lindy is survived by her mother Natalie Watson, her father Harold Evans, sister Lauren Evans, sister Alison Snoddy and her husband Mick, brother Brad Evans, step-sons Christopher, Chad and Sean Mitchell, nephew Bartholomew, nieces Kaitlin and Madison, and many, many dear friends. Lindy had an infectious smile that lighted the day of all those around her. From each of us that knew Lindy, she has our hearts. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in Lindy's name to the American Humane Society, the ASPCA, or the .
