Wayne Whitlock(1922 - 2014)

Predeceased by his wife, Irene and daughter, Lynelle Irene. Wayne was born in Indiana and raised on a farm. He was a Purdue University graduate and a long time Colorado resident. He was employed as a farm equipment salesman and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII as a B-17 pilot in Europe. He was proud of his participation in Operation Chowhound, an air drop of food to starving Dutch citizens. Wayne became friendly with and stayed in contact with many families that were helped by this air drop. He is remembered by friends, surviving veterans and associate members of the 8th Air Force Historical Society.
