Rest Easy Big Man, shocked and sad when I heard the news. I enjoyed my time with you at JD and will now think of you as I fish in Montana. Until the flip side.

Tanner, I didn't know you, but read of your passing while reading the Post on 11/1. Wanted to leave a message, both for you and for my Dad & Mom from Chicago - and my grandparents as well: The Cubbies finally did it! I figure you and they all already know, but knowing how you felt - I just wanted to post this here. Blessings...

Valerie, We are so, so saddened by your loss. My heart breaks for you. I remember your love for your son was overwhelming, as your loss must also be. We are thinking of you and hoping you find strength as you deal with this horrible sadness and emptiness. With love, Mike and Dayna Chaus

When we lose a Loved One, they become a memory. Then the memory becomes a treasure. Hold on to those treasures of your Loved One, they will help you during these difficult times. Isa.41:10

I only knew Tanner as an acquaintance but I worked with his Mother Valerie for many years as Air Traffic Controllers in Salt Lake City. I also know Tanners' Father, Pete, although we did not work in the same specialty as controllers at the Salt Lake Control Center. I know that Tanner and Delaney meant the world to them both. From having worked with Valerie so closely and because I know of her utmost love for both her children my heart can only ask our God above to bless her with a piece that I know only he can grant in such a difficult time. For his short time on this earth, I believe Tanner came to touch many lives for good. He would have had to convey his love for others that had been showered upon him from his parents and sister. So Valerie, when everyone has offered their condolences and the Celebration of Tanners Life is over and everyone has gone home and you are sitting alone on the edge of your bed hoping that when your head hits the pillow you might find some measure of rest and sleep, this is when I again beseech God above to bring you a peace that only he can give which may also fill your heart with the knowledge of Tanners goodness and of your own in bringing him into this world and raising such a fine son. God Bless. With Love, From your Friend Daniel Cook

My sincerest condolences. It must be so hard to suffer a tragedy like this. May "the God of all comfort" comfort you during this difficult time. James 1:13
