Brian Lasater died at his home in Denver after a long illness. Brian had myriad interests which he studied avidly throughout his life including philosophy and religion, history, sailing and navigation, astronomy, model building, and the great discoveries of science such as electricity. He received certificates in maritime studies from Plymouth Polytechnic in Plymouth, England, sailed solo across the Atlantic on his 36 foot sailboat the Mary Caroline, and received a B.A. in History from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2000. Brian wrote beautiful prayers each Christmas which he shared with friends and family. He cherished his family. Brian was pre-deceased by his brother Alan Lasater and is survived by his siblings Laurence M Lasater (Annette) of San Angelo, TX, Dale Lasater (Janine) of Colorado Springs, CO, Lane Lasater (Nancy) of Boulder, CO and Sally W. Lasater of Boulder, CO, as well as his treasured aunt and uncle Dr. and Mrs. Watt M. Casey (Dosia) of Albany, TX, 5 nephews, 2 nieces, 5 grandnephews, 1 grandniece, and many cousins. Funeral Service: 9 a.m. Saturday, December 8, Wellshire Presbyterian Church Chapel, 2999 South Colorado Blvd, Denver. Memorial donations may be made to the Vasculitis Foundation or the Neuropathy Action Foundation.
