Cody Joseph Cucarola Obituary
Cody Joseph Cucarola, 26, of Arvada, Colorado, died Tuesday, September 25, 2013. He was born on February 5, 1987 in Denver, Colorado to Gary Joseph Cucarola of Arvada, Colorado and Mary Cucarola of Telluride, Colorado, and they both survive. Also surviving are his daughter, Olivia Marie Trejo, of Lakewood, Colorado, his two grandmothers, Lillian Huff of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Ann Cucarola of Sterling, Colorado. Both of Cody's grandfathers preceded him in death. Cody went to grade school at the Shrine of St. Anne's School in Arvada, Colorado and graduated from Holy Family High School in Broomfield, Colorado. He attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. He loved sports, and played golf, basketball, and baseball in high school, with golf being his favorite. He was passionate about football, especially the Denver Broncos, and loved to go to the home games. Following in his father's footsteps, he had recently started a wholesale produce business, Fresh Start Produce Company, originally located in Fort Collins, but moved to Denver in June. He was becoming a successful entrepreneur and a natural in the business world. Cody was very much a people person and loved to connect with everyone he met. He was a stranger to no one and a friend to all. He had a life-long love affair with Red Hot, and Buffalo Wild Wings. He became famous in the one year he lived in Sacramento, California working for Bay Gourmet Market in Granite Bay when he was on a local television station demonstrating how to make a New Year's Day sub sandwich called the "Fingerling Special". The female newscaster immediately fell in love with Cody, instead of the sandwich. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 4:00 PM at the Shrine of St. Anne's Parish, 7555 Grant Place, Arvada, Colorado. Father John Lager will be officiating. There will be a reception immediately following the funeral service at Arvada Art Center. The burial will be at Lone Tree Cemetery in Telluride, Colorado at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Olivia Marie Education Fund in care of Mary Cucarola at 135 Kokomo Court, Telluride, Colorado 81435.
