Jackson, Judith Curtiss (Judy)
1963 ~ 2012
of Houston, Texas passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, in an automobile accident just outside Amarillo, Texas. She was 49.
Judy was born February 7, 1963 in Denver, Colorado to A. Curtis Jackson and Joy M. Jackson. She grew up in Denver and went on to Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Judy moved to Houston in 1985 and took a part-time job at Kati Sportcap where she ultimately became the company controller and an owner/partner. Judy had a zest for life and truly enjoyed all things in nature. She loved traveling the back roads of Texas during wildflower season, followed the migrations of whooping cranes in the fall and was a regular volunteer at the Texas Wildlife Center in Houston. She never lost her love for the mountains of Colorado, but Texas had become her home.
Judy is survived by brother Don Mayo, sister Marilyn Mayo, and many friends and coworkers. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Terry Rutherford.
A private service and interment will be held at the All Souls Walk at St. John's Cathedral in Denver, Colorado.
