Kandyce Beeks

March 18, 2008

It has been almost 8 months now and I still miss my Mom every day! Not a moment goes by and a memory flashes before me! A song on the radio, a scent, or a recipe in the kitchen. My Mother was my best friend, my hero, and of course someone to guide me in my life. Just a phone call away, I knew my problems were solved! I miss that the most! She had so much strength, charisma, and beauty! I was blessed to have 34 years with her, I can't believe the next half of my life she won't be by my side, not in body anyway! I wish to thank everyone who has been there for our family! My Mom was blessed to have so many loving friends in her lifetime! We will all miss her but I know in my heart that when it is my turn to go, I will have her to welcome me! Kandyce Beeks

My condolences to the Beeks family. I grew up in Williston as Karen did, but never had the pleasure of knowing Karen other than speaking with her on the phone a few times. I met her daughter Kandyce when she was visiting relatives in Williston many years ago and remember the wonderful things Kandyce would say of her mother. Reading through all the notes left by loved ones it is clear she will be greatly missed.

To the Beeks Family, Please accept my sincere condolences during this difficult period. Karen and I worked together doing volunteer work at the Sayap Ibu Orphanage in Jakarta. She was a lovely, kind woman who brought happiness everywhere she went. May she rest in peace.

Dear Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time. I can understand the hurt and sadness you are all experiencing. Keep those good memories of her close to your heart and be sure to talk with each other sharing your own fond experiences...My dad always talked of her with kind thoughts and great memories! Of course my memories date back to my stay in Williston when I was 13 years old; I spent a week with DeeAnn and Aunt Minnie...I will never forget the generosity, love and kindness that they shared with me during that time. Although, I'm not able to attend the services Thursday, know that my spirit will be with you all. Love to everyone, Carla (Mattison) Kimball
