Still praying for your sweet family and still remembering Kevin. He is in the arms of Jesus and wouldn't come back now if he could! Just remember that Heaven is REAL!

Dear Hayne Family, My heart is so heavy to hear of the loss of your dear son. I clearly remember Kevin as a quiet, smart and responsible second grade student with a sly grin! I was honored to be his teacher at Cherry Hills Christian and am so grateful for his continued walk with Jesus. May you grab onto Jesus and hold on tightly to His promises. I am praying 1 Peter 5:10 for you all.

Our prayers go out to the Hayne family at this terribly difficult time. I never met Kevin, but thank the Lord that Kevin was already following Him at the time of his untimely death. Lord bless you, Tim Hall (distant cousin and family historian)

To my cousin Lynn and family,
I was heartbroken to hear of your tragic loss of Kevin. I will keep you all in prayer for God's comfort now and for always. It is a blessing to know of his strong faith and to know that we are confident that he is safe in his heavenly home. Linda (Gentry) Pendleton and family (Alexandria, VA)

My thoughts and prayers are with Kevin's Family with Beth, Lynn, and Alyssa. I was at the funeral today and how Kevin lived his life is how is should be living my life. I used to go with the Haynes to church at Calvary Chapel Parker from 2004-2008 and it was a mistake for me that I didn't know Kevin much considering the fact how many time I was around the Haynes. May Kevin's legacy live on forever and I know right now he is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I will keep praying for the Hayne Family in this difficult time in the loss of a son, brother, friend, cousin, grandson, nephew, student.

My sincere sympathy to Kevin's family. I knew Kevin and his family while I lived in Highlands Ranch. I was trying to juggle the care of my elderly mother, my dog Spencer and a heavy travel schedule. I had been praying that I could find a neighbor child to walk the dog after school. Kevin showed up in my Sunday School Class and told me we were neighbors and that he was praying for a job. I chatted with his family and Kevin stepped up and walked my dog(s) daily for many years. He was responsible, fun and always anxious to learn something new. He wrote well and loved to work on his writing.

The neighborhood kids enjoyed reading stories on Saturday nights. They called themselves The Morning Glory Gang. Kevin was frequently our reader as the other kids curled up and waited to hear the evening story adventure.

Kevin was a delightful blessing in my life.

Lynn and Beth, Mere words cannot erase the sadness I know you are feeling. I'm praying for you. Psalm 125:2 "Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forever." Charlotte

There are no words to describe the feelings I've endured since last Tuesday. I have followed the threads on 14er.com since right after they began posting, and it's been a whirlwind of emotions, prayers, sadness, enlightenment, and finally enjoyment in the praise and brotherhood of Kevin, Travis, and their community of fellow climbers. I can only imagine what you all have been through during this ordeal. You must be very proud of your son's accomplishments, both as a human being and as an athlete - I know I am. My sincere condolences to all family and friends of this great, young, human being.

Dear Beth and Lynn,
I can only imagine your deep sadness. I still can see a young Kevin's bright eyes at choir events! May our great Savior be your comforter and sustainer!
