Rex Lawson Obituary

Lawson, Rex A., 92, passed away on September 26, 2011. Born December 20, 1918 and raised in Burchard, Nebraska. Married for 70 years to Eugenie and survived by her. Father of Rex, Jr., Pam Quick, and Kerry. WW II veteran and Army reservist, retired with the rank of Lt. Col. Came to Colo in 1939 with the CCC. Rex worked in the wholesale florist industry and retired from Davis Bros. He built the family home in the Fairmount area near Golden and moved to the Greeley area after retirement.
He is survived by his wife and children as well as grandchildren Kelly Quick, Ryan (Milissa) and Erin Lawson; step-granddaughter Stephanie (Levi) Cloyd; great-grandchildren Braden, Makenzie, Calen and Kyler Lawson and Gideon Cloyd; sister Patty (Dean) Spickelmier; good friend Ron Wildeman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers George, Don, sister Erma Lloyd; son-in-law Will Quick; and brother-in-law Allen Capper.
Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 2:00 pm Staging Area 'A'.
