Graduating from Norwood HS (OH) in 1943, Shirley worked at Cincinnati Gas & Electric. After marrying in 1950, she and Bill moved to Denver to begin his long career with Shell Oil. In their many moves around the country, Shirley always created a warm and loving home for her family. She enjoyed entertaining, gardening and her years of volunteer service at Memorial City Hospital in Houston. Shirley and Bill treasured their many friends and cherished the times spent with those they loved. She will be missed tremendously, but always remembered for her devotion to her family, her fun-loving, spirited nature and sense of humor. A family service will be held at a later date.

Shirl was her own special person. We'll miss her; expecially her wonderful sense of humor.

Our family looked forward to her visits (along with our uncle and cousins) to Cincinnati to visit family and friends. When you had the opportunity to visit her wherever she lived, Denver, New Orleans or Houston, she welcomed you with open arms and made sure your visit was worth it! She was fun and witty. She made sure you knew you were special to her. She never forgot a birthday and anniversary and you could count on a card with a humorous comment. We will truly miss but, have very fond memories of our aunt.
