A U.S. Marine, Bill served during the Korean Conflict, then went into the reserves.
"Once a Marine, Always a Marine" fitted him perfectly. A member of Jeptha Lodge #222 A.F. & A.M. of Essex, MD, he was also a 32nd Degree Mason in the Denver Consistory of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
Bill retired in 1992, as an engineer with Lockheed Martin, after 43 years, working 15 years in Baltimore and 28 years in Denver. He and his wife, Carol, then moved to Spring Hill, FL, residing there 10 years before moving to Seaford.
In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by a brother Robert L. Evans, Sr. (Mary) of Baltimore and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial Services were held at First Lutheran Church, Gray Manor, MD on Sat. Jan. 21, 2012. A luncheon followed the service. Another Memorial Service was held at Christ Lutheran Church, Seaford, on Sat. Jan. 14, 2012.
