Rosen, Jennifer Chotzinoff, 52, formerly of Denver, died December 25, 2011 in Playa Avellanos, Costa Rica of an apparent drug overdose.
Jenny achieved world-wide acclaim as a Rocky Mountain News wine columnist, with 50,000 internet subscribers and a 2005 James Beard Award to her credit. Her 1997 marriage to KOA radio's Mike Rosen ended in divorce, but with lingering affections on both sides.
In recent years, she mastered bellydancing, hypnotherapy, the complete works of Anthony Trollope and five foreign languages, including Arabic. Jenny loved flirting, quipping and, above all, her son Nick Selvy, 28, of Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Other immediate survivors include her sisters Marina Chotzinoff, of Denver, and Robin Chotzinoff, of Austin, Texas.
