1984 ~ 2012
died suddenly and unexpectedly on June 7. His parents, Frankie and Roger; his brother, Andy; his fiancé Hien (Pham); his grandmother, Marge; his aunt Laura, his uncles Chuck and Frank (Vandale); his many friends and his Vietnamese family already miss him very much. RJ was a 2001 graduate of Grandview High School, was a CU Pharmacy Intern at the north Boulder Safeway and a GeoCoin Designer. He loved to travel having recently visited Australia and China, was an outdoor enthusiast participating in everything from geocaching and off-roading to camping and hiking in the Rocky Mountains. RJ will be remembered for many things including sharing the good to come from the Columbine massacre in 1999. Please join us in saying goodbye to RJ at his viewing on Wednesday, June 13 from 6:00 - 8:00pm, and/or his funeral on Thursday June 14 at 2:00pm at the Darrell Howe Mortuary, 1701 West South Boulder Road in Lafayette, Colorado. Following the service, RJ will be laid to rest in the Louisville Cemetery, facing his beloved mountains.

My Friend, I Already miss our geocoin decussion lunches at culvers.I Remember Every time we hung out, like the day we hung ur tv in ur apt. and we talked about life n ate pizza. RJ and I grew up together and were child hood best friends. There are so many memories that will never be forgotten . He was truly an amazing person and the best friend anyone could ask for. To my second family as I knew you, I know that for every tragedy there is a restoration and peace and for every ounce of pain there is a tranquility. Roger was a friend to my husband and I. We used to get together for Bible study and later game nights. We shared funny stories and companionship over dinner and cards many times. We have found ourselves unbelievably sad over the loss.

Completely in shock.. He was so full of life and positivity, and I had no doubt at all in my mind he was going to enjoy a very long, happy and successful life.
Regardless, he was an extremely kind and caring man, very genuine and a rare soul to have among us. Sadly only knew him for a short time, but I am so blessed to have had the chance to know him at all.
I am truly sorry for your loss, it really is a complete shock to suddenly lose him.

Roger, Frankie, and Andy,
RJ and I grew up together, for many years we were inseparable; he was truly a best friend during my childhood. We did everything together: school, church camp, and everything in-between!
Unfortunately, we we had lost contact over the past several years, and this dreaded news of his passing has brought back a flood of memories making hoping to reconnect a bitter and sad impossibility.

Roger and I went to school together. His birthday party spent on the slopes was my first time. I remember him trying to teach a skiier to snowboard, didn't happen but all of us kids had a blast that day. I remember talking to him in the halls of Grandview.
I am very sorry to hear of his passing.
