Dear Korey, I was saddened to read about your fathers passing. I knew your Dad and Mom when he was a senior at Yale and your mother was attending SCSU. Jan and I met after a PE class. Your father was playing football at the time and we always had a great time at the games. He was a brillant student and a wonderful warm friend. How excited they were when they learned they were going to be parents.Jeff attended my wedding your Mom stayed in Boston because you were a newborn . He came to my home early in the morning and entertained my father until it was time to go .to church. Jan and Jeff were our favorite guests for Sunday dinners. It isnt very often that you meet people that you remember fondly throughout your lifetime but they were an exceptional couple in every way. May his memory be a blessing to you and your family. i would appreciate hearing from you and learning more about your family . Mary Bruno mabruno@sbcglobal,net

Dear Korey, Brette, Mitch and Cooper,
I just saw that Jeff passed away last year in the Law Week. Like so many others, I was so shocked and sad to hear this news. He was the reason I chose to go to Holland & Hart after law school because he gave the most fabulous historical tour of Downtown Denver to the summer clerks. I thought it would be fun to work with him. Alas, he changed law firms, but years later after I left H&H and went in house, he was my "go to" litigator and our company benefitted greatly from his extraordinary oratory skills, wit and wisdom. The best part about working with Jeff was listening to all of his stories about his children...how incredibly proud he was of each of you. How blessed he was, and told everyone who listened, to have fathered two daughters when he was young, and then blessed with two sons in his later years. Please let me know what caused his death at such a young age and send me the address for any memorials set up for him. I was so sorry I missed the celebration of his life at the Botanic Gardens. I hope someone will write a biography about Jeff...it would make for some great reading! [email protected]

Jeff's daughters and sons, Korey Wahwassuck and Brette Scott and sons Mitch Pond and Cooper Pond.
My name is Phil Miller. I live in Overland Park, KS (Kansas City area). I just learned this morning of your father's death. I am really sad and heartbroken for you and for all that knew and loved your Dad. I had the good fortune of being your Dad's head football coach at Liberty High, Liberty, Missouri. Jeff was my super star quarterback in our large class Missouri high school He lead our team to one of the best years in the entire history of the school We had one of the highest scoring teams in the nation and held the other teams to less than a touchdown per game. Jeff was the smartest person I ever had the opportunity of coaching. He was skillful but even better than that, your father was very confident and had a lot of pride as a athlete and as a person. He was admired and respected by everyone.
I hope you read this and take the time to update me on what happen to cause his death and something about his life as a father and as a person. It would help me handle my hurt and pain. I couldn't believe it when I was told of his death. I knew he had a lot of talent but didn't know of the specifics of his interest until I read the obituary. Where did you all live in Denver while you were growing up? Was your dad still married to Jan Winsbourgh and is Jan your mom? Please send me a email at [email protected] with some of the answers from above whenever you feel like it. I knew of course that he graduated with honors from law school and was a successful Denver attorney but that is about it.
My best to you and sincerely hope you are all OK.

He was a shining star we recognized even in our crazed and exuberant youth. Thanks for the memories.
