Alan Woods, retired attorney and Denver native, died at his home after a lengthy illness. An East High School graduate, he received his law degree from Denver University in 1954. On retirement, he was a member of Woods Kinney & Breithaupt. An accomplished pianist and retired Army Reserve JAG officer, he devoted much of his life to volunteer community service as a member of the Mile-Hi Optimist Club of Denver. Alan is survived by his wife Barbara, children and stepchildren Lisa Wenger, Lynn Penko, Laura Lilley, Launce Hawk, Denise Woods, Jeff Nied and Paul Nied; brothers Robert Woods and John Woods; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Donald Woods.
