Corrine "Dollie" Parker Knight, 61, died peacefully on July 7, 2016 in DeRidder, after a struggle with ovarian cancer.
Dollie was born April 20, 1955 to Hugh and Adel Parker in DeRidder, where she resided most of her life. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, and friend, but her joy came from spending time with her grandchildren. She would travel to Mississippi and Texas to cheer them on from activities including baseball, football, dance, pageants, 4-H, and fair activities.
She also had a passion for gardening. Dollie proudly hibernized many cannas including: Pistol Pete, Cajun Salsa, Adels Cajun Moon, Jared Zenz, Sierra's Sunset, and MiKaela's Dream. Dollie was a member of the Brugmansia Growers International as well as other gardening organizations.
Dollie was involved in directing many pageants, as well as being the chairperson for
the Miss Roses in the Pine. She enjoyed being a member of the Rosepine Historical Society and was
instrumental in promoting the Rosepine/Evans Historical Park.
Dollie was preceded in death by her son, Charles Michael Knight, Jr., and her parents, Hugh "Pete" and Adel Fee Parker.
Survivors include her children, Cheri (Aaron) Dettori, Corey Brister, Chad Brister, Brad Brister, Stephanie (Shon) Calcote, and Terry Parker; sisters, Patricia (Terrell) Robertson, Karen Parker, Paula Grandt, and Misty Portis; brothers, Charles Parker, Richard Parker, and Greg (Nicole) Parker; 15 grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.
Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.

God gave a sweet, loving Angel her wings to go home. She will be missed by her family and friends. Dollie and I grew up together as kids and lived next door to each other. As we got older time and distance made it to where we didn't see each other very often. But she was a true friend she always had open arms for a hug. RIP my friend I love and will miss you Dollie. My prayers go out to her children,
grandchildren and the rest of her family and friends.
