Funeral services for Rogers Sidney Olivier, Jr., 60, of Lake Charles, will be held at 10 a.m. on April 18 at Dry Creek Baptist Church in Dry Creek. Officiating will be Rev. Charlie Bailey. Burial will follow in the Dry Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.

Visitation will begin from 5-9 p.m. on April 17 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, and will continue from 9-10 a.m. on April 18 at the church.
Rogers was born on Oct. 3, 1952, to Rogers Sidney Olivier, Sr. and Evelyn Reed Olivier in Lake Charles. He lived most of his life in Dry Creek and was a retired carpenter. He was a graduate of East Beauregard High School and attended McNeese State University. Rogers passed from this life on April 15, 2013, in Lake Charles.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey R. Olivier of Greensboro, N.C., and Jared R. Olivier and wife Amanda of Lake Charles; two daughters, Caitlin Shea Kaake and husband Daniel, and Megan Olivier, all of Greensboro, N.C.; two brothers, Gregory Olivier and wife Roxie of Sulphur, and Peter Olivier, Sr. and wife Toni of Moss Bluff; three sisters, Dana Gill and husband Darrell, Kathy Courmier and husband Dennis, and Belinda Johnson and husband Randle, all of Dry Creek; his parents, Evelyn Reed Olivier and Rogers Sidney Olivier, Sr. of Dry Creek; and four grandchildren.
