Our beloved, Todd Stephens Eagar passed away at his home in Palm Desert, California on July 20th.
He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 22, 1927 to Leo and Vernah Eagar and was the oldest of three children.
Todd was an Eagle Scout and later joined the Navy. He was president of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at the University of Utah. After graduating he followed his dream of becoming a successful Realtor. He formed Eagar & Company Real Estate and continued to sell real estate when he moved to Palm Desert in 1999.

He was a founding member of the "Holiday Investors" and "Maui Whale Watchers." Todd made lasting memories at the Salt Lake Country Club, Alta Club and Cottonwood Club. Always upbeat and positive, Todd saw the best in everything.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia and children: Randy Eagar (Cherilyn) and Lisa Novetzke, (Andrew). Grandchildren: Tiffany, Rich, Maxwell and Zeke and Great grandchild: Allison. He is also survived by his brother, Brent.

I am deeply saddened to learn of my dear friend Todd's passing.
I have had the distinct pleasure of Todd's friendship for the past 25 years and I have always valued it. I was even luckier to have worked with him in the real estate business and shared in many sales transactions together. Todd genuinely loved the real estate business more than most anyone I have ever known. He always used to say, "real estate is my life".
I learned so much from Todd. He was a person with an amazing positive attitude. Sylvia once told me, "Todd is the same nice person at home that you know at work". People nicknamed him "sweet lips" because he never said anything bad or unkind about anyone else. Even in death, Todd has taught me another valuable lesson. I spoke to him a week or so ago on the telephone. Had I known it would be our last conversation I would have told him how important our friendship is to me and how much I cared about him, which is the lesson learned. Take time to tell your friends how much you care for you never know what life brings.
Todd, you will forever have my love, respect, admiration and gratitude for being a friend and a mentor. I will miss you and certainly never forget you.
To Sylvia, Randy, Lisa, Tiffany, Rich, Max, Zeke and now Allison, you have my deepest condolences. I know how proud he was of all of you and how much he loved you. He never failed to mention you or keep me up to date about how you were doing.
Godspeed Todd. Heaven shines a little brighter today because you are there.
