1958 ~ 2013
Our beloved little sister, Janice R Jensen, 54, died May 27, 2013 of dementia and symptoms related to stroke. She was the 6th child born to M. Don and Leone Richardson Jensen on July 13, 1958. Janice was God's gift to our family. She was a member of the LDS Church and loved her Savior Jesus Christ. She was a child of downs syndrome and loved her association with the Special Olympics and Camp "K". She will be remembered for her love of music, her artistic nature, and all people. Her favorite subject was her Birthday.
She attended Jordan Valley School and South Valley Training Company. Our thanks go to all her friends and staff at the workshop-you enriched her life. A special thank-you to Iva and Lou Ann. She loved you all dearly. Also, a special thank-you to Katea Fangupo and family for their loving care the last 5 months.
She is survived by her mother Leone, and sisters: Dianne Beutler, Marilyn (Lynn) Monson, Kristine (Paul) Monson, Marianne (Robert) Breitenbeker. She was predeceased by her father Don and brother Alan.
A viewing will be held Saturday, June 1, at the Midvale 4th Ward, 7825 So. Olympus St., Midvale, 11 a.m. to noon, with graveside service following at the Midvale City Cemetery, 471 W. 7600 So. (6th Ave.).

Janice, you sweet girl! You were such a great friend to my sister Laurie. I can imagine your reunion with her in heaven is filled with many giggles, music, dancing and craft projects. Take care of her for us. I miss hearing your voice on the phone when you would call our house. You have such a sweet, peaceful voice. I'll miss you talking about your birthday, cell phones, and Michael Jackson. Love you sweet heart!

Dear Dianne,
I think I remember this young lady, your sweet sister. She bore her testimony once in the Riverton 18th Ward. The one thing that came through very clearly, was that "Jesus loves me." My sincerest condolences on the loss of such a dear sister.
With love and wishing you and your family peace from The Comforter.

My brother Jeff and I send our love and deep sympathy. We have so many fond memories of Janice from our Saturdays bowling with her. She was always happy and upbeat and full of love and fun. She loved sharing news of her family with us. Jeff and Janice attended Jordan Valley together and both worked at South Valley and attended Camp K activities so they have a long history. I last saw her at a Jordan Valley dance where she was joyfully shaking the bells and dancing about. Jeff and Janice are much alike and I understand the special blessing they are and how deeply you will miss this wonderful member of your family.

Sweet Janice, We will really miss you, your hugs, moon walking like Michael Jackson, and always reminding us it was almost your birthday. I enjoyed being your Young Women's Leader, You would always say we were twins because of our last names, although mine was spelled Jenson. You will be truly missed!! You have touched our hearts!
Love,

I am so sorry for your loss. I grew up as a back door neighbor to Janice. I loved watching her at church as she passed out the programs and told us about her birthdays. Five years ago I was blessed with a son who was born with Down Syndrome and I immediately thought of Janice. I was very grateful that I had the opportunity to get to know Janice growing up so I knew a few things about Down Syndrome. She was a special lady who will be missed.
