Donald Clark Butler passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013. He was born October 28, 1920 in Brasher Falls, New York. Son of William Henry and Jennie Clark Butler. Don was educated in grade and high schools in Massena, New York. While attending Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942. He served in World War II and was a bombardier-navigator on B-24 aircraft. Was honorably discharged when the war ended. He served also in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, receiving an honorable discharge. Retired in 1985 after thirty-six totally accident-free years as a Greyhound bus driver. Alumnus Brigham Young and Syracuse University. Married Erma Elizabeth Orvin in 1949 and enjoyed 64-years together. Later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. Was preceded in death by Erma and his step children Jacqueline Olsen Heaps, George Stanford Olsen, grandson's Jeff Heaps and Greg Johnson. Survived by sister, Janet Bristol in New York State, son-in-law Richard V. Heaps, 7-grandchildren, 21-great grandchildren, and 9-great, great grandchildren, 3-nieces, 3-great nephews, and 2-great nephews.
