Donald Harvey Johnson

Donald Harvey Johnson
6/16/1927 - 7/10/2013
Don, born in Santaquin, Utah to Nils Elias and Geneva Albertina Johnson, returned to his Heavenly home, quietly and peacefully, surrounded by family, on July 10, 2013. Don served proudly for the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific, serving on several vessels, including the USS Hansford. He returned home, after receiving an honorable discharge, and earned his Journeyman Master Plumber certificate. On May 9, 1948, Don married his sweetheart, Donna Jean Howell, in Elko, Nevada. They were sealed for time and all eternity on May 8, 1976, in the Salt Lake Temple. Don was a hard worker, a loving and devoted father and husband, an avid hunter, full of love and service for others, fan of heated political debates and a great big tease!
Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Nadine Gaye,;and is survived by his wife, Donna Jean; four sons, Donald Terry (Magali); Garn L; Tracy Gene (Yvonne); Kirk Elias (Rebecca); daughter, Alaina Marie; 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Don, we love and miss you, but can only be envious of the incredible family reunion you are enjoying right now!
