Earl Samuel Frustaci

A love story that began with a letter to a soldier during time of war has now reached into the heavens.
Earl Samuel Frustaci, born January 1, 1920 in Calabria, Italy, was reunited with his sweetheart, Betty Rebecca Cohen, on March 15, 2013. They began corresponding while Earl served in the United States Army during World War II. It was the type of love story that movies are made of. They married on September 9, 1943.
Earl loved sports, especially his home town favorites the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was involved in coaching many baseball teams from Little League thru American Legion. He worked for over 35 years as a bus driver for the Rapid Transit District of Los Angeles, California.
Betty and Earl have four children, Rosann Wilson, Martin (Suzanne) Frustaci, Jerry (Debbie) Frustaci, and Samuel (Toni) Frustaci, and many grand and great grand children. He is survived by his three sisters, Anna Opipare, Theresa Ragghianti, and Carmella DellaValle. Earl was preceded in death by his wife "Becky" and his brother Frank Frustaci.
Earl was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and friend. He will truly be missed.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Redwood Memorial Park.
