Fergus Clayton Thompsen, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away May 12, 2014 surrounded by family.
Ferg, raised in Spring City, Utah, was born October 8, 1929, graduated from Mount Pleasant High School where he played high school sports, attended college in Colorado and served in the Korean War.
He married Dee on November 6, 1953, which was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He served in many callings in the LDS Church, including High Council and Bishop of Kearns 21st Ward. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, bowling (started Holy Bowlers League), holidays, scouting, yard work and his train hobby.
Survived by his children, Pam (Doug) Adams, Byron (Sharol) Thompsen, Candy (Alan) Cline, Beth (Ted) Bennett, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters. Preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Jensen Thompsen, parents Charles and Adelaide, 3 brothers, grandson and 2 infant great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 S.) where a viewing will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 6-8 pm and Friday one hour prior to the services. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
