Just learned of Jeff's passing - very sad. I have had the privilege to associate with a better individual in every way possible. I served as his Assistant Scout Master when he was Scout Master of our Provo ward. Such a kind and gently personality - non-judgmental - and always looking for some way to help those in need. My deepest condolences to Sheri and their children.

I met Jeff at a job site in 1990 - it's been many years ago - but I recall he was painting a home. I remember how friendly & kind he was. Been to his home on Center St - close to the park.
I wish the very best for his family & loved ones.

We learned of Jeff's passing only a few days ago. He will always be remembered by our family with love. He came to our rescue so many times, including a call at midnight when our basement flooded. We will miss his cheerful personality as well as his kindness.

Dear Cheri and family,
It has been ages since I've seen any of you, but I will always remember those fun summers on the lawn in front of your big house watching the Provo July 4th parades, Matthew and Madeline playing with Savannah, my cute Pepper who I enjoyed for 15 years and thought of you often because her mommy was your cat Sugar (I believe), other fun gatherings and what good friends you were to Julia and Elizabeth. Jeff was easy going and pleasant and I know you will miss him keenly as you have Michael. May you often and as needed feel comforted and at peace through the blessed knowledge the gospel provides and the gift of the Holy Ghost. Sylvia Wilcox

Jeff took care of our elderly mother, Vivian Simmons, as if she were his own mom. He always made time to help with her home projects. We very much appreciate the service he gave her over many years as a handy man.

Jeff came to the rescue after I accidentally knocked a hole in a wall in a rental house in about 1989. He was very kind about the circumstances surrounding the mishap, repaired the wall so perfectly that even I could not find the original site, and was more than fair in the transaction. I was just getting myself established in a new job, just getting my financial feet under me, and the accident seemed like such a huge setback. But Jeff saved the day, repairing not only a hole in a wall but a set of frayed nerves. He was calm incarnate. What an excellent gem of a man he is and ever will be. My heart aches for you, Cheri, and for Joe, Sam, Matt, and Maddy. May God bless you all as you miss Jeff right along with Michael, until you meet again.
