Lou Hilton Allred 1932 ~ 2011 Lou Hilton Allred, 78, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt peacefully passed away in her home on March 31, 2011.Lou was the 12th of 13 children born to Hugh and Chloe Hilton on November 26, 1932 in Hinckley, UT. She was eternally married to the love of her life, Darrel Thomas Allred, in the Manti Temple on February 2, 1951. During their loving 60 year marriage they had five children; LeAnn Redford (JAC), Michael Allred, Sherrie Rice (Robert-deceased), Kristine Allred Gabel (deceased), Chad Allred, 13 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Lou was extremely talented, intelligent, and loving. She was a faithful member of the LDS church in which she honorably served in numerous callings. She successfully held several jobs during her life. In her final job, as the administrative assistant to an ophthalmic surgeon, she was an integral component to the success of the doctor's practice. Lou exemplified the finest qualities of womanhood, family, and love. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and knitting, especially Christmas stockings. But most of all, Lou loved spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, Lou is survived by her sister, Margene Jensen (Verl) and many nieces, nephews, and friends that will dearly miss her. A memorial service will be held at 3:00p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Mount Olympus 7th Ward Chapel, 4407 S. Fortuna Way (3965 East). There will be a viewing prior to the service from 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Internment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, SLC, Utah.
