In Loving Memory
Ray Buck, Jr. (Ray the Rat), son of Raymond C. Sr. and Mildred Reiley Buck, veteran of the United States Army
, left this existence on February 27, 2014 at the age of 66.
Ray is survived by his two sons, Colin Buck (wife Leslie) and Anthony Buck (wife Desiree), two grandchildren, Josephine and Peter, and two sisters, Marty Buck (Phoenix) and Becky Buck Reynolds (Seattle).
Ray was a grateful recovering alcoholic with 22 years sobriety at the time of his death. He left behind a multitude of friends, sponsors, and people he had sponsored in AA. He was a member of the Target 550 land speed racing team, and each year in August he went to the Bonneville Salt Flats to meet with his many friends and photograph the cars and events. Ray was a skilled professional photographer and a computer genius who built and programmed his own computers. All who knew him will remember him as a kind, loving, bright, generous, wise person who was deeply moved by music and possessed of a voracious appetite for reading and knowledge.
Friends and family are invited to an informal gathering at his home on Sunday, March 23rd from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., where light refreshments will be served. His ashes will be scattered at the Bonneville Salt Flats in August.
Ray's death leaves a huge hole in our hearts - he would want us to fill that hole by being as kind as possible to each other.
