Dona and her husband were generous, opening their home and hearts to many. She was a wonderful cook, seamstress, homemaker, and would not let anyone leave without conversation, hugs, and a cookie from the jar. She enjoyed being in the sunshine and spending time with her family at Bear Lake. Dona made a lasting impression and will be remembered by many. "Ta-Da!"

Dear Andrew's family––Bonnie, Jackie, Kevin, and Reagan,

We were saddened to hear of your loss and our hearts and prayers go out to all of you. May you cherish the good memories you have together and be there for one another when times are difficult. I have so many wonderful Bear Lake memories with your family and I know someday they'll be a big Bear Lake reunion in our heavenly home.

It's just like uncle Andy to come and escort his bride home on the day before their wedding anniversary. It's nice they can be together again. May you be comforted in the knowledge that you are an eternal family forever.

Love, Linda (cousin) and Dale Ottley

Dona was a special aunt and friend to me. She tried so hard to find a husband for me and then found out I found one on my own, right in her ward. She was the first to offer her house and yard to us for our reception. They even re-did their yard to make it perfect. I have always had a special place in my heart for her and now she has passed on, I cannot be happier she is with Andy again and having a party with the rest of our family up there. To her children, cherish your memories and try to live as she would want you to live. You have a great heritage to be a part of. I send my love to you all.

Oh how I love Dona. Shw was the most genuine, gracious, classy, smart and loving lady. When my own mother passed away, Dona kindly allowed me to refer to her as my, "Other Mother" I am so blessed to have known Dona. There will always be a special place in my heart for this wonderful lady.
Love always, Sherri Hicks

Dona was truly an example to all of us. She was so gracious and kind in opening up her home to everyone. She made everyone feel so welcomed and loved.

When I heard of her passing yesterday, I looked up her beloved husband Andy's obituary from 2006 and learned it is their wedding anniversary today (February 4). My heart was touched to learn they are together today celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary! What a tender mercy! She was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother! She was so proud of her great family and the wonderful memories they shared together.

She will continue to be a strength and an example to us all! She will also continue to love, care, and watch over her family and friends!

Love,
